Adventures in Yeast Baking -- I overcame my own fears and you can too.

Ladies and Gentlemen – Start Your Ovens!

Because Holiday Season is now upon us cooks and bakers, and here’s one sure sign — the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line is now officially open! Thankfully I’ve never had to request their services, but still, it’s good to have these folks around. It’s been quite awhile since I visited the Butterball main site and they’ve spruced things up quite a bit.  Some good videos too just in case you’ve never cooked an entire turkey before. Just go to the home page and look for the Video Guides. Definitely worth the visit.

Do you like brining your turkey? I did it last year and it was probably the best bird I’ve ever cooked. Of course, it could just have been the turkey that year. lol

We’ve never brined a turkey, but I have done pork for barbeque – incredible results and very easy to do. We are big fans of the oven bag for the turkey and it always seems to work well.

I have done turkeys for food shoots and you don’t even want to KNOW What goes on there LOL.
