Yes, I’m going to give the BBA, or Bread Baker’s Apprentice Challenge, a whack. Nicole over at the Pinch My Salt Blog has laid down quite a gauntlet. Ok by me, I was going to try several out of this book anyway, now the Challenge will just help in giving me more focus.
The Goal as prescribed is simple – bake your way through the book. I don’t know if I’ll get through all of them, but I’m going to give things a try. In fact I’ve already completed the Anadama Bread.
Paul at the Yumarama Bread Blog was kind enough to post a project schedule.
Nicole’s goal at Pinch My Salt is to work the recipes in order, but I am going to flex my Schedule a bit. For instance, the Corn Bread will not be scheduled for awhile, but I need Corn Bread later this week, so I will be doing the Corn Bread ahead of schedule. And yes, I’ll post my own work schedule here for you just to keep myself honest.
As the recipes are copyrighted and are original works by Peter Reinhart, they cannot be considered Fair Use with a free for all posting. I just don’t post copyrighted materials here. But I will post images, work comments, and notes about any specialty equipment or techniques.
